20th May 1992 is the day that FC Barcelona won its first European Cup. This final was played at the Wembley Stadium while they wore the orange Meyba kit. Dutch defender Ronald Koeman made the only goal in this match, in the second half of overtime, with a free kick.
This red version was used as a third kit for FC Barcelona. Initially, the red version was without the stripes, but they were added later, seen against Lech Poznan in 1988-89.
For 1989-90, Meyba refreshed the Barça kit, adding shadow stripes and removing the pocket from the shorts. the Icelandic team wore white at home and blue in the Nou Camp but FC Barcelona wore red in both legs.
During the ten years that FC Barcelona was dressed in Meyba they won just about any prize and honor you can think of. With star players like Laudrup, Koeman, Bakero and the young Pep Guardiola and Maradona.

The European Cup II final in the season of 1988/89 was played on 10th May 1989 in Stadion Wankdorf in Bern. FC Barcelona faced UC Sampdoria and won 2-0 with Johan Cruijff as coach.
